Providence Neighborhood in Las Vegas

Developed by the Focus Property Group, Providence is noted for its classic small town American ambiance and lush but eco friendly landscaping in the common areas. The very active homeowner’s association schedules a busy calendar of neighborhood events all year long, including ice cream socials and the ever popular Mad Mud Run each spring. Watch out for the awesome Mud Pit and the “Splash Zone” where onlookers bring their Super Soakers to help douse the runners!

Two of the three proposed parks for Providence have already opened. The first to open, Promenade Park, is a linear park that winds its way from east to west through the community, with lots of park benches and miles of walking trails.

The 15 acre Knickerbocker Park, inspired by American literary legend Washington Irving’s “Knickerbocker Tales,” opened in 2011 and includes lots of play areas for children of different ages, plus a splash pad, jogging trail with exercise stations, baseball field and multi purpose events field. The unique dog park is especially popular, and contains two separate areas, one for dogs of less than thirty pounds and one for dogs over thirty pounds.

Space has been reserved to open the proposed Huckleberry Park next to the elementary and middle schools within the community. Not surprisingly, the park will have a Mark Twain theme and center around the iconic American folk here, Huckleberry Finn.

Providence is particularly noted for the wealth of amenities it offers: from first class schools to parks to shopping to gourmet restaurants and first class medical facilities. The community provides easy access to Mount Charleston, Floyd Lamb State Park, and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, not to mention some wonderful public golf courses at Painted Desert, Paiute, and Silverstone. Below are basic demographics for the Providence master plan.
